The design of three glossy skyscrapers was revealed today by Pinnacle International and Hariri Pontarini Architects. The project, that will change the waterfront of Toronto, is dubbed “One Yonge”. It will spread over a 4-million-square-foot-area to include the glassy triad, five other buildings, and the revamp of a pre-existing block.
The three towers, that are located north of the site, consist of 65, 80, and 95 floors. Assigned for residential purposes, the triad will encompass a community center in addition to a hotel. The southern side of the project will be allocated mainly for commercial purposes. It will include the complete renovation of the Star building in addition to constructing two new tall buildings for office use.
The developing block is well connected to the city via the PATH- which is the Canadian underground system of tunnels designated for pedestrians. Moreover, means of public transportation, as well as bikes, are easy ways to get to the block. “We are looking forward to developing this landmark community on Toronto ’s revitalized waterfront”, commented the President and CEO of Pinnacle International, Micheal De Cotiis.
The primary phase of the project will include the 65-floor tower and the units are expected to be available on the market in the upcoming months
