WOW Inc., which is a design agency located in Tokyo, has created three digital art installations for the Shiseido Ginza store in the Japanese capital. The light installations, that are inspired by neuroscience, are called the” interactive wall”, the “product room”, and the “neuro surge”.
The design agency aimed to induce some kind of interaction between the guests and the cosmetic product, which will be available on the markets in 2018.
The primary installation is 9 meters high and resides in the hallway of the Shiseido Ginza Building. It provokes the guests to feel how exhausted they become when subjected to daily stress. The installation runs through the first two floors of the building utilizing top-notch fibers.
The second of the installations is dubbed the “interactive wall” and it allows the guests to know how nerve cells are stimulated by a single touch to the wall that is composed of an elastic fabric.
The third installation or the “product room” is a serene spot with little lighting and it contains samples of the product.
WOW Inc. commented, “we wanted people to enjoy and appreciate the product, form, texture, scent, etc. by amplifying their senses through these installations.”
Shiseido is the largest personal care and cosmetics company in Japan and it dates to over a century.
The digital artwork comes as a result of the collaboration between WOW Inc. and Shiseido Team 101 which is responsible for advertising for the company’s products.
