Whether you have been to Paris or not, you can probably recognize the city’s renowned Paris landmarks, but could you identify Paris through 100-year-old Paris photos?
Known as “The City of Love”, the French capital is not only one of the most popular tourist destination but is also characterized by its famous iconic architecture. Almost everyone is familiar with the sight of the Eiffel Tower, the Gothic Notre Dame Cathedral, and other Paris landmarks which shape the city’s skyline.
However, the “Île-de-France” has undergone many changes, especially during the World Fair.

One of the Paris photos shows the “Globe Celeste” next to the Eiffel Tower which was a huge globe with a 45-meter diameter. The globe hosted panoramic shows of the solar system and was one of the main attractions in the city.
In another “Before” photograph, the famous Pont Alexandre III bridge overlooking the Seine river appears in front of an interesting background. The 40-meter long bridge has stood as a symbol of the Franco-Russian relations for years. Behind the bridge, beautiful exhibition structures representing arts and manufacturing were lined up due to the event of the World exhibition.
